A start-up backed by tech giants IBM and Microsoft plans to construct 1000's of synthetic reefs throughout the globe to struggle local weather change by restoring coral reef ecosystems.

The Reef Firm plans to have its first reefs within the water by December 2022, and the agency is encouraging extra firms to fund reefs to assist offset their carbon footprint.
