(Pocket-lint) - Many corporations appear to be focussing on the Metaverse and what which may imply for the way forward for the web. Microsoft, naturally, could be very eager on it.
Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella has revealed that the corporate's plan for buying Activision Blizzard was partially motivated by the Metaverse. That and a motivation to create "the following web".
On the time of saying the acquisition, the corporate detailed the logic behind it:
"This acquisition will speed up the expansion in Microsoft’s gaming enterprise throughout cellular, PC, console and cloud and can present constructing blocks for the metaverse."
