NASA/ESA Hubble House Telescope lately shared the gorgeous picture of the lazily winding spiral arms of the spectacular galaxy positioned round 150 million light-years from the Milky Method. Often known as NGC 976, the galaxy is a spiral galaxy.
This picture of NGC 976 comes from an intensive assortment of Hubble observations of close by galaxies which host supernovae and a pulsating class of stars often called Cepheid variables.
The galaxy has a tranquil look and hosts a supernova explosion. Supernovae will be useful for astronomers whereas measuring the distances to distant galaxies.
Supernova explosion emits very uniform power. This permits astronomers to estimate their distances from how brilliant they seem when seen from Earth.
